Turning Claude into an assistant with a great memory
So every session starts with you explaining the project again, from memory, and your retelling never quite matches what you actually typed, decided, and did. PRIME writes down each decision, rule, and correction the moment it happens, so the next session starts from the record instead.
Persistent memory for Claude · works in Cowork and Claude Code · saves as you work
Close the window, come back in the morning, and the project is gone. What Claude knows next is whatever you remember to tell it.
You retell yesterday from memory. You leave out the correction you made late in the afternoon, because you've forgotten you made it. Claude builds on the version you remembered, which isn't the one that happened.
Claude reads the record first. Every decision, rule, and correction is there, dated, written down when it happened. You say where you want to go next and keep working.
Keep Claude's memory on. It learns who you are. PRIME writes down each decision, rule, and correction in your project, with the date, so weeks later you can just ask.

While you work, Claude adds a line each time something is settled. Next morning, it reads them back.
Example project, simplified for illustration. Real entries carry a few more fields.
It runs inside the Claude you already use, in the folder you already work in.
Claude writes each decision, rule, and correction down the moment it happens, in a plain text file in your folder. You don't have to say anything at the end. Close the laptop mid-sentence and nothing recorded is lost.
When you open a new session, Claude reads that memory before it starts and picks up where you left off. Install once through Cowork, and Claude Code picks it up from the same folder.
If something's wrong, tell Claude and it records the correction. The old line stays as history, so you can see what was believed and when. Ask about something that was never recorded and Claude says so, instead of guessing.
Two clients in two folders stay in two separate records. When memory gets long, PRIME tidies it: older entries move to a reference list that's still searchable, and nothing is deleted. No account, no server, no subscription of ours.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, your organization's owner decides whether members can upload skills.
No. This edition is for Claude only.
A paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) and the Claude desktop app on Windows, with code execution and file creation switched on in Claude's settings. Setup takes about five minutes.
No. Cowork supplies what PRIME needs. Only the by-hand route asks for Python 3.9 or later.
Nothing is lost. Each decision is saved the moment it's made. Wrap up only adds a short note on that session and a backup.
No. PRIME adds one subfolder, Prime Memory, and one file at the top, CLAUDE.md. If your folder already has a CLAUDE.md, every word of it stays and the memory instructions go at the end. Nothing else of yours is touched.
Use one at a time. Two sessions writing the same memory at once can trip over each other.
Nowhere. It's text files in the folder you chose, on your computer.
